Closet Treasures

This is my Father's birthday card and one of my personal favorites. He was a star on the 6-man football team at the time. He was also awarded an "All American" medal in football then. He was so proud of it that he wore it out plowing the fields on the farm outside of Michigan, North Dakota, and promptly lost it. This scene also contains some of his track and field medals along with his high school letter and yearbook. The dog tags and Bronze Star are from his Army service in WWII. The weird metal thing in the lower left baffles a lot of people; it’s a needle for blowing up footballs.

Child to Child

This is my late uncle Orville's birthday card. My Mother threw me a curve by requesting I make one for him too. It depicts the progression of life from baby to old age. The final photo on the right is Orville and my Dad celebrating his birthday with bottles of Almond Champagne strewn all about and him wearing some ridiculously oversized sunglasses. He enjoyed the card very much but like everyone else that doesn't use a computer, he has no clue how it was done. He passed away later that year.
