Dear trueSpace user,
In addition to being the 10th anniversary of
trueSpace, 2004 proves to be an exciting year already!
|

by Johan Zijffers |
First, there was the
release of trueSpace for Illustrators and iPak, described as "one
the biggest advances in trueSpace in quite some time." They both add
multi-pass rendering capability to trueSpace, and enhance
workflow by increasing integration with 2D applications like
Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro, by making changes easier (alter your
lighting, reflection strength, depth of field, all without
re-rendering!), and more. I am very excited to see the artwork as
people seize this new level of creative control over their artwork. |
Then there was gameSpace1.5,
a major update based on what our users had been telling us. gameSpace saw
several plug-in releases this year, and there was also the release of
gameSpace Light, a free version of gameSpace to allow independent game
developers to start creating the 3D content they need.
One thing stays the same in 2004 - our focus on
our users. You remain the most important part of our business! That is why
we began the search for our Most Loyal Users, started the
trueTown contest, and are announcing the Absolute Beginners
contest in this newsletter.
One of our biggest contests is the Summer
Shootout, with some astounding prizes - sponsors ATI have contributed
NINE cards, including 6 next generation X800 graphics cards!. Other prizes
include copies of trueSpace6.6 with proTeam membership, bringing the
overall prize total to over $10,000!
Finally, it it is a great pleasure to once
again present the work and stories of some of our users to you, and I am
sure you will enjoying viewing their creations and reading about them and
their work as much as I did!
Roman Ormandy,
President

| This remains one of our favorite sections
of each newsletter, where we showcase work being done by
our users. Whether you want to learn how to put trueSpace
to use, or just admire the artwork our users produce, you
will find something to grab your attention here. This time
around, our articles for each person are so long, we have
had to give them one page each, rather than list them all
on one page! |
