Vinny Carvalho
Vinny is well known in trueSpace circles for his masterful
abilities in creating low poly vehicles in particular. He has
been teaching this technique (now commonly referred to as the
"Vinny technique") on the
Caligari forums, and attended the party to show it in
action! |
| 7.00pm |
Libor Stolc
Libor flew in from the Czech Republic to give a presentation
on his work on interior design using trueSpace5. As well as
being an accomplished artist, Libor also develops plug-ins to
help designers create and demo interiors. You can see some of
his work at his website here:

gameSpace Summer Shootout Contest and is presently the
subject of discussions for distribution deals. Drew, Ryan and

gameSpace in creation of their game. |

Roman Ormandy
Founder and CEO of Caligari, and the man behind trueSpace
past, present and future, "boldly went where no one has been
before" with a first public preview of the technologies behind
a revolutionary trueSpace7. |
| 10.30pm |
Prize Draw for trueSpace7 (the winner
will receive their copy of trueSpace7 when it is released) -
results to be held and announced on the web, due to the event
running late on the evening! |
As well as the scheduled presentations, guests were able to mingle
with other Caligari users and staff (Michael Arrington and Tom
Grimes) in a fun and informal setting.
Forum
There is a section of the forum given over
to the topic, and you can
view it here! Also, a thread about the event has started in the
Roundtable forum, and you can
read that thread here.
We enjoyed meeting all
attendees in New York - thanks for coming along!
