trueSpace7 Videos

The first trueSpace7 videos are here! Caligari Founder and CEO Roman Ormandy presents personally some of exciting new features of trueSpace7! These videos are in Flash format, see notes below.

Real-time Photorealistic Renderer!

See the new DX9 based real-time renderer in action, with modeling and real-time interactive physics on display.

Collaboration

Roman and Norm demonstrate the essence of new collaboration mode in trueSpace7.

Physics and 3D Recording.

See how physics run in real-time, and how you are able to interact even with high poly objects. Also see how it is possible to use 3D record to capture and playback activities in the environment.

Next-gen SDS and Soft Selection

Take a glimpse at some of the new modeling tools, with Subdivision Surfaces and Soft Selections being demonstrated.

Activities

Three examples of user created live interactive online environments created by trueSpace7 users Pete Massaro and David Bokon.

Link Editor and Procedural Animation

See how "intelligent objects" respond to their environment and to you, and how easily they can be created with direct manipulation inside the Link Editor.

Layouts and Customizable Interface.

See how you can transform your workspace to fit the needs of whatever task you are working on, and how easy it is to change between these layouts for different parts of your workflow.

Aspects.

trueSpace7 offers a truly customizable interface. The appearance of the interface for an object is called an aspect, for example toolbars can be transformed with a single click from visual icons to text menus.

HDRI in Lightworks

truespace7 user Marcel Barthel demonstrates benefits and speed of HDRI renderings in newest Lightworks update.

Global Illumination and Caustics in V-Ray.

Marcel shows speed and quality of V-Ray for trueSpace7 using Photon mapping for Global Illumination as well as Caustics examples.

About the Flash format

The Flash videos are a streaming format, but they may take a while to download (the largest is around 15Mb) depending on your connection speed. This can lead to pauses in your viewing while the file is buffered.

To avoid this, you can wait for the entire video to download before playing by simply pressing Pause or Stop on the playback controls. The video will continue to download (the playback bar will fill with black from left to right as it does so), and you can then play it once fully downloaded.

It is not possible to save the Flash files as part of the web pages. If you want to keep a copy of these videos on your hard drive, then zip files are provided via a link on each page. These files contain the Flash file as well as the web page and will enable you to watch the videos at your convenience!
