Characters
The most important
elements in your game - the characters - are also the most
difficult to create.
If you
want to focus on game design rather than modeling, then the
pre-made characters in DarkMATTER will let you do just that.
Alternatively, you can use them to learn from, or use them as a
starting point for unique characters of your own design by
modifying the textures, or reworking the models themselves! |

Weapons
What good are your
characters if they can't defeat the bad guys - and how are they
going to do that without weapons?
DarkMATTER
gives you an arsenal of weaponry at your disposal, so
you can arm up your characters (and the bad guys!) with
ease. You'll find a variety of pistols, rifles, machine
guns and rocket launchers to choose from. |

Vehicles
The DarkMATTER
collection also has a set of vehicles, from regular civilian
cars through to military tanks, missile launchers and jets.
The
vehicles are animated, with the wheels turning on the ground
vehicles, undercarriage on the aircraft lowering and raising,
and so forth - see the VET sample by clicking on the image on
the left to see the jet animated. |
| Sky
Spheres and Sky Boxes
To bring your levels to life, you will find a libraries
of sky spheres and sky boxes. These are objects you
can bring into your game to provide the background,
and here you will find a set of skies so that there
should be one to suit the mood of your game!
Of course, you can always take
the textures from the sky spheres and sky boxes and use them
elsewhere too!

Textures
As well as the textures on the objects themselves,
there are also a set of extra textures, including walls,
ceilings, floors, ground, doors, slime and more!
The textures are usually 256x256,
so are ideally sized for use in games, and with categories such
as Urban, Natural and Sci-Fi, you will find these game-ready
textures a useful addition to your game development palette! |
