| Dear trueSpace users,
First, I want to say that it was a privilege for me, Tom,
and Michael to meet so many of you in the Big Apple,
birthplace of Caligari. I can not think of anything more
important than to have an opportunity to discuss trueSpace on
regular basis with our most loyal users. I also want to thank
Vinny Carvalho, Libor Stolc and Drew Clark,
Ryan Buhr and Brian Linton from Reactor
Interactive for their excellent presentations.
Finally, I want to thank those who attended for their
spontaneous reaction to my demonstration of Caligari’s
next-generation software platform, code-named Rosetta. After
the many years I personally put in our new product this meant
a lot to me.
Now, for those who could not attend: in New York I gave the
first ever public demonstration of Rosetta. It was not an
official product introduction however and, although I showed a
great many new features, I will not list them all here. I
promise however to post videos similar to my live presentation
on our web site in near future.
So what is Rosetta? More than just an upgrade to trueSpace
product line, it is a brand new architecture on top of which
new generations of trueSpace products will be built. The word
“revolutionary” is often abused today but it seems appropriate
in the case of Rosetta.
Below are some slides I presented in New York that describe
the basic concepts behind Rosetta. Hopefully they give you a
taste of what you can expect in our future products. It is our
hope that the Rosetta architecture will outlast the first two
generations of our technology, which together have propelled
the trueSpace brand for the past 18 years. |
